Artist’s Statement:
I am the yellow emu, and this is me and my friends. my friends heal my heart because I’ve just gone thru a relationship break up. my friends have been with me every step of the way. I haven’t had any time to feel down. We all cook and clean together, we are a tight family. I have so much respect for them because they understand my mental health and I know it can be challenging at times. They are my community family. It’s very important to have this support.
Well its taken a group of friends to come together and be there for me. It’s been dragging out for years this break up. So they have kept me busy on my toes. And listen to me and be real with me.
