Lyrid Meteor Shower
What a beautiful spectacle we were treated to last night, the earth being blessed by the heavens with their fireworks.
The awesome Lyrid meteor peaked in Australia at around 1am this morning.
Early this morning, those who were awake were treated to visible meteors falling across the sky every few minutes.
This meteor shower is active between April 16 and 25 each year, the time when the Earth's orbit crosses paths with the path of Comet Thatcher.
